PCS Posts
A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification was required for the examination. Some PCS posts have an additional subject, qualification or experience requirement.
Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF)
For ACF, the notified qualification covers a Bachelor's Degree with at least one prescribed subject from Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geology, Forestry or Statistics. Agriculture and Engineering degrees are also covered under the stated conditions.
Range Forest Officer (RFO)
RFO has its own subject-based degree requirement. The notified subjects include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Forestry, Geology, Agriculture, Statistics, Horticulture and Environment. Agriculture, Engineering and Veterinary Science degrees are also included in the prescribed qualification.

ACF / RFO
Physical standards apply to the Forest Service posts. Height, chest measurement and the prescribed walking test are checked according to the ACF/RFO rules.
