Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the Assistant Professor Selection Examination 2026 notification for 1,936 posts. These vacancies are available in aided co-educational and women colleges across Uttar Pradesh.

🎓Eligibility
General Educational Qualification
- Candidates should have a Master's Degree in the concerned / relevant / allied subject from an Indian University with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
- An equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university is also acceptable as per the prescribed rules.
- Candidates should have qualified NET conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar UGC-accredited examination such as SLET / SET.
- Candidates who are eligible for exemption from NET / SLET / SET on the basis of a Ph.D. degree under the applicable UGC regulations may also apply.
Important Note
Eligibility is subject-specific. Some subjects such as Art, Music, Physical Education, Agriculture and other specialised disciplines have separate or equivalent qualification requirements. Candidates should check the qualification prescribed for their chosen subject in the official advertisement before submitting the application.
