National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the UGC NET June 2026 Examination on behalf of the University Grants Commission for determining eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor and Ph.D. admission in Indian universities and colleges. The main examination was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from 22 to 30 June 2026. NTA released the provisional answer key for 84 subjects on 16 August 2026 and accepted challenges up to 18 August 2026. The NTA UGC NET June 2026 Result and Score Card are awaited as of 27 August 2026. Candidates should check their result through the official UGC NET portal once released.

🎓Eligibility

General / Unreserved / General-EWS candidates should have secured at least 55% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent examination from a recognized university/institution in the relevant subject.

OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD / PwBD / Third Gender candidates require at least 50% marks.

Candidates pursuing their Master's Degree, appearing in the final year, or awaiting their qualifying examination result were also permitted to apply provisionally subject to fulfilling the prescribed conditions within the stipulated period after the NET result.
