The qualification depends on the teacher-training route accepted for Primary Teacher posts. The required academic qualification must be accompanied by the applicable teacher-training qualification and CTET / BTET eligibility where prescribed.
A relevant graduation qualification is required along with the teacher-training and eligibility-test conditions prescribed for the subject concerned.
The candidate must hold the required qualification in the concerned subject together with the prescribed teacher-training qualification. Bihar STET qualification applies as specified for Secondary Teacher posts.
A postgraduate qualification in the concerned subject is required for the relevant Higher Secondary post, along with the professional qualification and STET requirement wherever applicable.
Subject combinations matter in TRE 4.0. A degree or B.Ed. alone does not make a candidate eligible for every teacher post; the qualification has to match the level and subject selected in the form.
For TRE 4.0, the minimum-age reference is 01 August 2026. The notification applies a separate reference for maximum age, so the two should not be presented as if they were calculated on the same date.
